Things to See & Do

Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society – A non-profit zoological organization located at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach. The zoo houses more than 550 animals (190 species), many of them endangered, within 23-acres of lush tropical habitat.

Norton Museum of Art – Founded in 1941 by Ralph Hubbard Norton and Elizabeth Norton. The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida, is internationally known for its distinguished collection, featuring American, Chinese, Contemporary, and European art and Photography. Its collection includes over 7,000 works.

Mounts Botanical Garden – It is Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest public garden with over 2,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants from six continents, including plants native to Florida, exotic trees, tropical fruit, herbs, citrus and palms.

Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center, is a new, FREE Palm Beach County educational attraction with a dedicated area for viewing manatees up close. The 16,000 square-foot center features engaging, hands-on exhibits for visitors to learn all about these endangered and unique creatures as well as the natural wonders of the surrounding Lake Worth Lagoon.

Peanut Island Park – 80 acres of tropical park with swimming areas, myriad water activities & paved walkways near Lake Worth Inlet. While there, check out the Palm Beach Maritime Museum and JFK Bunker.

Flagler Museum – When it was completed in 1902, the New York Herald proclaimed that Whitehall, Henry Flagler’s Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was “more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.” Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum, featuring guided tours, changing exhibits and special programs.

Kravis Center for the Performing Arts – The performing arts center has four venues and puts on a variety of plays, concerts and other shows throughout the year. It is home to the Miami City Ballet, the Palm Beach Opera and the Palm Beach Pops.
