Originally opened in 1990, Chesapeake Beach Resort and featured a boardwalk lined with concession stands, a roller coaster, a band shell, dancing and other forms of entertainment. In 2004, Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa was born, recapturing the original intent of the founders of this small town: to have a bayside resort just close enough to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Annapolis and the surrounding area.

Chesapeake Beach Railway Trail – tourists and residents alike can enjoy a different kind of luxury as they walk or pedal on the Chesapeake Beach Railway Trail, which occupies a portion of the abandoned railroad corridor. As you trek away from downtown on the two mile trail take in the panoramic views of the surrounding marshland and forest.

Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum – the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum preserves the history of the bayside resort through audio-visual presentations, artifacts, photographs, and exhibits portraying resort life during its heyday.

Bayside History Museum – The Bayside History Museum provides visitors with information on how the Chesapeake Bay’s environment shaped the culture of the bayside communities that surround it, from prehistoric times to present day.

Chesapeake Windsail Cruises – Chesapeake Windsail Cruises sails out of the beautiful Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa located in the bay-side town of Chesapeake Beach where you can dine before or after your cruise at the Rod ‘n’ Reel restaurant.
