Tucked into a protected and historic deep-water port on the Yeocomico River, The Slips is located in Kinsale, in Virginia’s historic Northern Neck peninsula. The 90 slip marina is just a short cruise from the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland and can accommodate vessels up to 65′ LOA, 24′ beam, and 9′ draft with 1x30AMP shore power. The country marina is full of great amenities including boat ramps, WiFi, a clubhouse, newly renovated showers, and restrooms, and laundry facilities.
The Slips, which was once the site of a tomato canning factory in the 1980s, was renovated into a marina in 1956. The village of Kinsale dates back to 1706 at the beginning of the 20th century with the Steamboat era. Kinsale stood as a strategic port for distributing the area’s rich agricultural offerings and functioning as a stop for passengers on steamships from DC and Baltimore.
