Port Whitby Marina is an Award-Winning Stop in the Heart of It All!
Port Whitby Marina is located on one of the finest natural harbours on Lake Ontario, making it a great stop for boaters and sailors who are looking for some fun on the water, in a town full of activities. The marina is surrounded by acres of parkland and trails and is close to beaches, restaurants, and attractions. Salmon and trout fishing and sailing charters are available on site. Guests can stroll or take a short bike ride (complimentary!) to local restaurants, pubs, a grocery store, a health club, lodging, and a liquor store – all located within minutes of the marina.
After a day of activity about town, guests are encouraged to relax in the marina’s first-class clubhouse and lounge with 3-piece privacy shower units and laundry facilities. There are also picnic shelters and propane barbecues, so head to the grocery store and cookout amid the beautiful water views! There are also complimentary bikes, trikes, kayaks, and a horseshoe pit at the marina to entertain everyone in your party. Last, but not least, there’s a snack shop onsite, where guests can grab food, beverages, and ice cream.
Port Whitby Marina has a boat ramp for those trailering in, as well as a number of travel lifts for those in need. There’s a marina store onsite for provisioning and parts, pump-out services, and a fuel dock that offers gas and diesel. Guests may like to know that Port Whitby Marina has been a member of Boating Ontario’s Clean Marine Environmental Audit Program since 2003 and has consistently scored among the top 5% of marinas in Ontario. In 2009 the marina achieved the highest rating of Five Green Leaf Anchors. In 2012, the marina won the Robert Eaton Environmental Award of Excellence in Environmental Practices within the marine industry.
