Marina Updates
Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key, Fla. is now partially reopened after sustaining damage from Hurricane Irma. Guests can enjoy the Angler & Ale restaurant, the Calm Waters Spa, the Coral Cay Activities Center, Dolphin Connection, the Sunset Pool, the Boat Ramp and charter fishing excursions. The marina is expected to reopen in the Fall.
Puerto del Rey Marina in Fajardo, Puerto Rico opened a new dock center as part of the marina’s continued investment into infrastructure and the customer experience. The dock center includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, luxury restrooms and a captain’s lounge.
Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is now home to the “#1000 Mermaids,” a public art installation that also serves as an eco-friendly destination for underwater tourism. Marine Director Megan Lagasse said, “Pier Sixty-Six is proud to support an initiative that helps our underwater ecosystems.”
Gurney’s Resorts announces the addition of Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina in Montauk, N.Y., the brand’s second property in the Hamptons. Immediate upgrades following the purchase include enhancing both the guest experience and food and beverage offerings, and a $13 million propertywide upgrade is slated to be completed by the 2019 season.
