Marina Spotlight | Marlin Bay Yacht Club | MarinalifeConveniently located in the heart of the Florida Keys is a hidden gem that doubles as a resort and marina. Many boaters make a point to stay here on their way to or from Key West. “Approachable luxury with a relaxed environment,” is how Executive VP Kevin Ceneviva describes this bayside slice of paradise.

Guests feel at home in the beautiful, three-story vacation rental residences. They can choose between fully appointed three- or four-bedroom homes; some featuring private plunge pools others with roof-top decks. Top-notch amenities around the property include a heated beach-entry swimming pool, an in-ground jacuzzi, a new pool bar, clubhouse, fitness center, sauna, steam room, game room, grills and a fish-cleaning station. Plans for showers and laundry facilities for marina guests in 2019 are underway. Extra bonus: friendly staff who treat everyone like family.

Marina Spotlight | Marlin Bay Yacht Club | MarinalifeThe marina has concrete-fixed docks for 99 vessels. 24 are currently available for transient rentals, but 50 more transient rental slips will be in place in early 2019. Boats up to 60 feet are welcome now, but by early next year, Marlin Bay will also accommodate vessels up to 70 feet. On-site concierge services and a professional dockmaster and dock hands are at your service every day. During your stay, you can kick back and soak up the authentic Florida Keys vibe or head out to enjoy the region’s many attractions. Sport fishing, snorkeling and diving nearby are first-rate, and trips to the Dolphin Research Center, Turtle Hospital and Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters provide unique aquatic experiences.

Dining options are also plentiful. Within walking distance, you can enjoy memorable meals at Florida Keys Steak & Lobster House and Keys Fisheries or hang with the locals at the Overseas Pub. Marathon Bagel Company is a must for casual eats, and Burdine’s and Castaway’s are accessible by boat. Popular winter events include the Celtic Festival ( January), the Coral Head Music Festival (February), the 25th Annual Pigeon Key Art Festival (February) and the Marathon Seafood Festival (March).
